Leo Baeck Institute Jerusalem promotes the study and research of the history and culture of Jews in the German-speaking space, in a variety of disciplines in the humanities and social sciences. As part of its commitment to research, the Institute also organizes a variety of activities for undergraduates, doctoral students and researchers young and old from Israel and abroad. These activities include:
         -   Biennial research workshops for leading researchers from Israel and 
             abroad.

         -   Reading groups for Israeli students.

         -   Seminars for young Israeli researchers in cooperation with universities 
             and additional research institutes in Israel.

         -   Joint seminars for young researchers from Israel and Europe.

In addition, the Institute awards a number of scholarships and research grants every year to doctoral students and young post-doctoral fellows who recently completed their doctorates.

The Leo Baeck Institute initiates and supports a variety of publications in its fields of interest.
